A Heavenly Christmas
Philippians 2:1-11 – Attitude

How much does your attitude to life change with your circumstances? Are there particular things in your current life or your past that you feel negatively define you and shape your attitude?

Later on in Philippians, Paul gives some advice later that seems really relevant to this idea. Read Philippians 4:4-9. Meditate on this passage and think about what practical steps Paul is outlining and what they would look like in your life.

Read Romans 12:1-2. What does this tell us about how to control our attitude? Again, think what would this practically look like I your life? What are the promises that come with it?

For the master class in attitude read Psalm 42. Try reading it a number of times (perhaps every morning). Take note of every practical thing the Psalmist says he does. Try doing the same.

Finally, think about Jesus’ teaching in Matthew 6:25-34. It’s amazing to think that this wisdom, which sounds so fresh and relevant, was said almost 2,000 years ago! Every time you see birds this week, remember this passage and try to live it out.
