LIVING FOR A VISION!

  • They say religion answers the question “Why are we here?” Try personalising the question – why are you here? What do you think is the point of your life? How does your faith make a difference in answering this very hard question?
  • Try one (or both) of the exercises below. Let your imagination, ambition and even your ego run wild. This is an exercise in aspirations so don’t hold back!
  • Write your own obituary! Imagine it’s many, many years in the future, you’ve died and a newspaper is reporting your death. What would you love them to write about you and your life?
  • Imagine some people are talking about you when you’re not there. What would you like them to be saying?
  • Look at what you wrote for the previous exercise. If you have done this properly you have been writing out a description of the person you would like to be. What do you notice about it? Does it seem possible to be that person? What kind of things have you written? Are they mostly about your character – the type of person you’d like to be – or are they about achievements – the things you’d like to do? What does this tell you about yourself? Should you try to balance the two types of elements out?
  • How do you feel about the idea of changing? Would you like to change? Do you feel the need to change? Or do you feel as though you’re more or less where you’d like to be? Why do you feel like this and is it a good thing to feel?
  • Try to write out a vision for your life. Maybe do it as a brainstorm rather than prose, as this avoids prioritising and means nothing is written in stone. It’s good to check back and make changes and additions from time to time.
  • How does having a vision make you feel about what you’d like to do with your life? Read Luke 4:14-21 and John 10:7-18 for Jesus’ vision for his life. Read Genesis 1:28-2:25 for God’s vision for people.
  • Do you feel overwhelmed by your vision? If you don’t you probably haven’t been brave enough. Read Exodus 3:1 – 4:17 for the account when God gives Moses a vision for his life. How could you apply the verses in Exodus 4:10-12 to your own fears? Meditate on this whenever you’re feeling intimidated by the path ahead.
  • Read Hebrews 11 to see how vision gives us the power to persevere. Read Hebrews 12:1-3 and consider what our vision should be focused on. Is this the central part of your vision? If not, how could you make it the central ingredient?

Well at this moment of writting on the tinternet I am listerning to SeaSick Steve, he plays with three strings on his guitar!!! reminds me of Australia somehow! At the time of working out this weeks Takeaway out on paper yesterday, I was frustrated I couldnt find my bible in my bedroom! its a real pig stye at the moment(like mi life) and my only hope would be oneday I'll kleen it!!! and mi life! I tend to not know where to start then stress out and give up in despare only to achive nothing!

Living For A Vission.
----------------------
"Why are we here?" "Why am I here?"

If you ask me why Im here then my imediate reaction would be I dont know but I wish He would tell me!! and I dont see much point in it! but Im here for the duration! However if you ask me why your here, (and I know in my Knower deep down this is for me toO) I could tell you a different story... We were put here to be loved by Him and to Love Him back, to walk in the light and shine, I believe God has put us here for a GoOd God reason to do Kingdom bussness, for us to seek Him and endure Him, to Recieve Him, to Saw with Him, most of all to share Him!
To walk the path ahead with our armor on! And God is so big that not only all of this that He has different purpose's for everyone, this excites me but also scares me alot! (a lot of comfort zones to cross in transit) Im rearing to seek that out and knock on the right doors and seek how to!
We are made to Worship Him! (my fav.) and share His gifts! Im pritty negative about being here sometimes (Saturn get behind me in Jesus Name) and before I knew the Lord I was quite misserable and hated my parents sometimes!!! I mean Im the last of 8 children and why did they have me? they didnt need me they had 7 children already!!! But it is God whom nitted us in our mothers womb before we were concieved He already had our names writtern on the Hand and in the book of life! He already planed us before the beguinning of time! I may be compleatly wrong!!! but this is what I believe!!! We were born to hear Him and go to Him when He calls us by name!!! Faith Has changed my life and does help me answer this verry hard question, without faith it would be pritty meaningless!!! If I didnt have Faith in God and Jesus Christ's bloOd running through my vaines Id be dead for sure!!!

How Do You Feel About Having
-----------------------------
A Vission For Your Life?
-------------------------

Well I feel like cringeing and anxious, scared and excited! Its not all about having faith, its very much to do with beliveing having self confidence and trusting He has a plan and that His plan is much better than any of my plans! I need to listern to God, hear Him and follow Him to the ends of the earth! I need to hold on to the hem of His garment with all Ive got! I need to learn to not let Saturn get into my head and wisper lies about my life being worthless! Jesus came down to give us life, I owe Him my life! Its a flippin hard path to follow and you may stumble along the way and trip up! Jesus is there right infront of you holding the lanturn, lighting up the way so you can see where to walk! Just walk in the light! Dont run on infront of Him as you will trip its dark! and dont fall behind, Just follow that beautiful light!!!

now Im sure Ive dont the Takeaway quite differently and wrong!!! But Brothers and Sisters, we're here to help eachother on this walk, so we'll get through it togeather!!! In Jesus Name Amen!!!

muchly Big Phat Love,
SoOz Crow

I worked through the questions and did a mind map, thinking about different areas of my life. If you want to see the results you can see it on Flickr by clicking here

I wasn't thinking I'd show people, but I've decided to do so after Sooz was so open and encouraging. However, I do wish I hadn't put "Great Sex Life" under husband though...
